Trainspotting goes off Netflix in two days. Should you watch it?

So Netflix does its routine deal of removing and adding shows in order to well create space and honor contracts of course. So one of the movies leaving Netflix, amongmany others, on 1 Feb, 2017 will be Trainspotting and I wondered if I should watch it. 
I stumbled upon the link a couple of days ago and thought to myself maybe I should get around to watching it. I decided to go for it and here are some of my reasons: one being that a long time ago, perhaps it still is, but Trainspotting, the book by Irvine Welsh, was on a reading list in high school. At that time, I chose Captain Corelli's Mandolin and the Great Gatsby over it. Literature over language the choice was during my A levels. So missed opportunity then. Second being I tried to watch the movie but the content was a bit too explicit for me at that time. So I switched it off.  Is it still too much for my brain? A look at South Korean cult classics by Park Chan-Wook

Two things I absolutely avoid in films are excessive sexual content and gore. I managed to control both my refluxes and reflexes for Park Chan-wook. Here is why: women protagonists, an A+ on the Bechdel test and a thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
The cost: a ton of explicit language, intricate sex scenes and an abundance of gore.
After a string of dark and morbid themed plots comes a refreshing turn in his career (given his history male centered films), ‘The Handmaiden’ that released October of this year. Adapted from Sarah Water’s novel, ‘Fingersmith’, Chan-wook’s recent film explores themes like revenge, forbidden love, eroticism and guilt. Set in South Korea under Japanese colonial rule, The Handmaiden is a story of two women and one man narrating a darker than Shakespeare’s comedy of errors. The time I went Apple Picking in Detroit

A year ago, before I moved to the United States when someone said Fall/Autumn I always pictured people flying off, trying to hold onto umbrellas, their winter hoods and belongings as leaves swiveled around them. This picture stemmed from the illustrated textbook I used to teach children the seasons of the year in Spanish- vientoso, chaqueta, parguay- all the different words we used to describe a season. Otoño- a season that we don’t really have in India, I chuckle as I try to explain it to them using the textbook visuals. Puzzled but accepting of this new piece of information, they would nod in agreement.
One of my earliest memories of Chicago was walking to the train station and I remember stopping to look up at the trees full of red, orange, yellow and brown leaves. I also remember taking millions of pictures every time I stopped, my phone gallery is proof of my fascination.
