Plan B by Charnan Simon

"Lucy has her life planned out: she'll graduate and then join her boyfriend, Luke, at college in Austin. She'll become a Spanish teacher and of course they'll get married. So there's no reason to wait, right? They try to be careful. But then Lucy gets pregnant. Now, none of Lucy's options are part of her picture-perfect plan. Together, she and Luke will have to make the most difficult decision of their lives."

My blogger pal Halinor wrote a brief-ish review post on this book. I shall elaborate..I just finish reading this book on NetGalley.
It has a very simple storyline, but the book is genuine and on a touchy subject. The book draws you in right from the first page. The protagonist is not a stereotypical heroine and neither the hero, but their story is one you want to hear out. A must read for all teen girls and boys. I loved it, it brought me close to tears.
After further exploration on the author-Charnan Simon, i found that she has written a series of books (Surviving South Side) on teen issues related to drugs, stress, pregnancy, abuse etc...thats kind of stuff. I really like the fact that the author has actually written such books instead of waving it off and writing fancier more complex books. Not that those are un-interesting, but these create awareness to an extent..
