“Living, existing, and dying are all relative,” he pressed the soil over the box with his foot, tamping it down. “What does that even mean?” I stood at the edge of the cement‐covered grave. “It means that things are not always what they seem,” Everett pulled me into an embrace.  “But there is something that is what it seems.” “What is that?” I was stunned by how strong his arms felt around my waist. “How much I love you, and how far I’d go to protect you,” he removed his sunglasses to reveal the blue eyes that I was accustomed to seeing. “Protect me from what? We took care of those monsters … remember?” The last word sounded ineffectual as it found its way off the tip of my tongue.  He pulled me tighter against his chest, and a surge of electricity grew between us, distracting me from what I was saying. “That’s for me to worry about,” his lips pressed against my forehead.  He moaned softly and kissed the tip of my nose.  “My lovely firefly,”…

The 2012 DAC is here!

This time its the  Fourth Annual Debut Challenge hosted by The Story Siren.
For those of you who don't know what I am talking about..

The Debut Author Challenge is a HUGE event that The Story Siren hosts every year. The event helps to promote YA and MG authors who will be making their debuts. It brings together these authors and bloggers,as well as readers to one big book blogging event that runs year long.
The goal is to read a minimum of 12 Debut Author Novels.

To illustrate and further enforce my point of it being huge, Check these stats out- Its only November and already 280 bloggers have signed up for the 2012 Challenge!

I participated last year, but I barely read 5-6 debut novels. This year I intend to be a lot more active with my Challenge list.
So wish me luck and Oh! Sign up and leave me a link to your TBR! :D

I shall put up my list soon..

Oh and a BIG shout out to Kristi atTheStorySirenfor hosting this event!

"Alex Kosmitoras’s life has never been easy. The only other student who will talk to him is the school bully, his parents are dead-broke and insanely overprotective, and to complicate matters even more, he's blind. Just when he thinks he'll never have a shot at a normal life, a new girl from India moves into town. Simmi is smart, nice, and actually wants to be friends with Alex. Plus she smells like an Almond Joy bar. Yes, sophomore year might not be so bad after all.

Unfortunately, Alex is in store for another new arrival—an unexpected and often embarrassing ability to “see” the future. Try as he may, Alex is unable to ignore his visions, especially when they begin to suggest that Simmi is in danger. With the help of the mysterious psychic next door and new friends who come bearing gifts of their own, Alex must embark on a journey to change his future"

The Plot: Alex Kosmitoras is blind but has the power too "see" the future- like a 6th sense. He yields gre…
